The Hindustan Scale (In Position)

The Hindustan Scale (In Position)

To learn more about this scale, check The Hindustan Scale (Linear)

Here are the 6 fingerings for the Hindustan Scale in the key of C.

When you know the in position fingerings for the major scale really well, then learning the Hindustan fingerings will be relatively easy, since the Hindustan scale is a mixolydian scale with the 6th note left out.

Another way of explaining this:
C Hindustan scale = F major scale without the A note.
