Practice In Expert Performance

A Study of Expert Practice

I wanted to do something a little different today.

In today’s blog, I’m sharing an excerpt from a study one of my students shared with me a couple of years ago.
That student felt compelled to share this study with me because of the enthusiasm that grew in him while reading it, because the study was confirming things I had told him and tell all my students all the time.

It’s a psychology study of the art of practice for exceptional performance. It was published in 1993 by the American Psychologist Association.
If you’re looking to get more out of your practice time, or get better results with lesser effort: this is a must read.
