Like the NTX1200 and NTX900, Yamaha’s NTX700 Acoustic-Electric Classical Guitar easily accommodates a wide range of musical and playing styles and offers the perfect place to start exploring your music and nylon string sound. The versatile, contemporary styled NTX line is designed with thinner bodies, narrower necks, 14th fret neck joints, and cutaway designs to provide greater comfort and playability for today’s steel-string acoustic and electric players. Built on the classical platform, Yamaha’s NTX700 acoustic-electric classical guitar features a cutaway, for comfort when playing in the higher register fret positions. Through precise controll of temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure, the molecular properties of the wood can be manipulated into a more acoustically ideal condition, similar to the molecular characteristics of woods in instruments that have been played for years. In NX Series guitars, this treatment results in a sound close to that of a vintage guitar that has been played for years. It produces a sharper tone while simultaneously controlling dissonance in the high range. Instruments that have undergone this process have received high marks from a great number of musicians. Their evaluations are nearly identical to those for guitars that have been played for years, and their comments often include terms such as “well settled,” “mature,” “warm,” “excellent resonance,” and “clear.”Yamaha’s ART (Acoustic Resonance Transducer) pickup system is purpose designed to offer the most natural, dynamic and expressive electro-acoustic sound on the market. Proprietary multi-layer contact sensors perfectly combine ultra-wide dynamic range with outstanding feedback rejection for the most accurate and natural performance sound. The Yamaha classical guitar uses a 2-way system with contact pickups mounted on the treble and bass sides of the guitar bridge. To reduce unwanted feedback caused by vibration the NX Series contact pickup uses an additional multilayer damper to ensure the tone is captured in its purest form. Complementing the warm, full mid-range of the nylon-string tone, the System 61 preamp allows individual volume control over the treble and bass side pickups, allowing you to get the perfect blend for your style. The System 61 preamp also features a 3-band EQ for sound shaping and an on-board tuner.Check the drop-down menu to the right to select colors and/or other options.Body Classical Style and Standard DepthTop Solid SpruceBack NatoSide NatoNeck NatoBody Depth 80-90mmNut Width 48mmString Length 650

La Patrie Presentation Classical Guitar Natural

La Patrie Presentation Classical Guitar Natural

The Presentation Classical Guitar from La Patrie has a solid cedar top and rosewood laminate back and sides. Also features mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard, rosewood bridge with compensated saddle, gold “lyra” style tuners with pearloid buttons, and a semi-gloss satin finish. The Presentation guitar is made with a 3-way lamination of hardwood that includes a poplar center sandwiched between two layers of rosewood. Rosewood is a tone-wood of exceptional response and projection. A solid cedar top and semi-gloss lacquer finish round out the Presentation guitar package. 800 Year Old Trees All LaPatrie guitars feature solid cedar tops. The wood used in these tops can be found only in cedar trees that have an average age of about 800 years. The tight, straight grain in this wood makes it strong in the direction of the string tension while at the same time flexible across the grain lines. It is this combination of rigidity and flexibility that give the top its resonance. The vibration of the guitar top is the most crucial element of the sound.Lacquer Finish LaPatrie guitars are finished with a special lacquer formula. This finish is light enough to allow the wood to breath and vibrate freely. The tops resonating capacity actually improves as the guitar is played over an extended period of time. This gradual improvement in the response of the top is often referred to as “aging”. Poly finishes inhibit top vibration and are therefore never used on LaPatrie guitars. Many other guitars use a thick plastic finish that smothers top vibration and prevents the benefits of aging.Classics that are comfortable to playClassical guitars of the past have typically been made with thick neck dimensions, while this promoted a certain amount of neck stability, it often made certain playing aspects difficult to execute. It is for this reason that special attention was directed to the neck design of the LaPatrie guitars. Neck width and string spacing conform to classical standards, but a new truss rod system allows the profile of the neck to be reduced producing a neck of extraordinary comfort, while increasing stability. The LaPatrie necks are carved from Honduras mahogany. All LaPatrie models feature a rosewood fingerboard and bridge.Top: Solid CedarBack & sides: Rosewood laminateNeck: MahoganyFretboard: RosewoodNut width: 2″Bridge: Rosewood w/compensated saddleScale Length: 25-1/2″Tuners: gold “lyra” style w/pearloid buttonsFinish: Satin
